Nick Howell has worked in public education for over 15 years. He has helped students and their families navigate the college enrollment process at four public institutions. His experience ranges from being an admission counselor to the Director of Recruitment & Enrollment at Western Michigan University, Texas State University, University of Houston, and the University of Texas at Austin. In 2019, Nick became a College and Career Advisor at an Austin area public high school.
Professional associations are key to providing students with current resources and connections. Nick has served on the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) executive board and has been a member for over 10 years. During his time with TACAC, Nick has served as the co-chair in membership and co-chair of the annual Austin National College Fair with the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC).
During his professional career, Nick has been named a Rising Star of TACAC (2014) and most recently a Counselor That Changes Lives (2021) by the Colleges That Change Lives national organization.
