Jeff Pilchiek has worked in public education for 30 years. As a certified public school counselor, Jeff has helped students navigate the college admission process for more than 20 years. He has visited an extensive number of college campuses across the country, gaining a personal perspective of a variety of campuses. Recognizing his experience, colleges have invited him to serve on their Counselor Advisory Boards including the University of Chicago, Auburn University, Texas Tech University, University of Kentucky, and the University of the Pacific. He is also a member of the Rice University Nominators Circle.
Professional associations are key to providing students with current resources and connections. Jeff has served as the President of the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) and has been a long-time member. The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) appointed him to serve on a national committee. Additionally, he has been a member of the APPLY TEXAS Committee for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Jeff has served as chair and committee member for the NACAC National College Fair Austin. He has extensive experience as a presenter of professional development for college admissions.
Jeff retired as Director of Guidance for Eanes ISD, Austin Texas in 2014. Prior to Westlake, Jeff served as a counselor at Highland Park High School, Dallas, Yavneh Academy Director of College Guidance, and a counselor and teacher in Midlothian ISD.
What he enjoys most is seeing parents and students every day!
Jeff will take students after they have completed three full semesters of High School.
