Angelica Melendez has worked in public education for over 20 years. She has helped students navigate the college admission process as a former admissions counselor at two universities for seven years and 14 years working with high school students and their families. She has visited an extensive number of college campuses across the country, gaining a personal perspective on various campuses. Recognizing her experience, colleges have invited her to serve on their Counselor Advisory Boards, including Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Professional associations are key to providing students with current resources and connections. Angelica has served as the President of the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) and has been a long-time member. Members of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) elected her to serve as a Board Director. Additionally, she has been a member of the TASFA Committee for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. She has extensive experience as a presenter of professional development for college admissions.
